Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign up?
You can sign up online! Learn how to enroll here.
What style of yoga is the Orlando Yoga Teacher Training?
We focus on alignment based Vinyasa yoga. The class format includes a simple warm up followed by sun salutations, carefully sequenced standing postures, backbends and floorwork. Modifications are offered to personalize the practice for each student.
How experienced in yoga do I have to be to take the training?
We recommend a minimum of 3 months of yoga practice before enrolling in our teacher training program. If you have a sincere interest in learning more about yoga, you will enjoy the training regardless of experience.
What if I don’t want to be a teacher?
That’s okay! Many of our students take the program with little or no interest in becoming a teacher. You will gain a deeper understanding of yoga, explore and improve your practice, become part of the community and build friendships!
What are the graduation requirements?
In order to graduate, you must have fully paid your tuition and satisfactorily completed the training requirements.
How many students are in each program?
The Fall/Spring YTT capacity is 10 students. The Summer YTT capacity is 16 students.
What is the make-up policy?
Make-up hours are not built into YTT and may be completed at an additional cost per hour with your trainer.
Will I be qualified to teach yoga once I complete the 200 Hour program?
Yes! Once all the program requirements are met, you will receive your 200 Hour Certificate of Completion. You are then eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT200 (Registered Yoga Teacher 200). Graduates of the program often begin teaching classes at gyms or yoga studios.
What is Yoga Alliance?
Yoga Alliance is an organization that creates nationally recognized standards for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainings in the United States. Yoga studios across the country often require their teachers to register with the Yoga Alliance.
